Hi guys,

I have a bad news and a good news.

The bad news is that the game i was currently working on is kinda canceled. But, however, this is not the end of this endeavor.

I've chosen to continue the development on my own and with Unity.

Turns out that the previous engine we tried was missing a lot of key components that was needed for our project.

Paired this with other intrapersonal problems and our team was dissolved.

I, however, still believe in the idea. The feedback was somewhat positive, and I'm sure that if I give my 100% on this that i might get a chance to make you believe in it too.

So hang on tight, because the ride is far from being over.

If you believe in your concept enough and have a strong vision towards what it can evolve into then don't give up! If you need to move to another engine than do so. Also, going solo isn't a bad option either. :)

Was the team built upon rev share, or did you hire all the team members? If the team was a rev share based team who was leading the ideas and concepts to be implemented within the game itself?

Great to see your commitment to the idea.  That in itself is inspiring.  If I can just throw something out there, I've read, I think all, of your blog posts to watch your development.  I checked out that video you had recommended of another group of developers who had taken the vapourwave approach.  You had mentioned them as being an inspiration.  However; I thought that their 3D implementation of the idea did not live up to the potential of vapourwave, it seemed 'flat' and all they had done was color their walls with strips of colored hues.  I'd be interesting to see a 3D implementation that captured what vapourwave has to offer.

We are friends from college. The team was revenue share but we wanted to make a company. I was the lead programmer and he was the lead game designer and programmer. So, we discussed everything but he had the majority of the ideas. He has a lot of cool and A E S T H E T I C ideas and I'm more practical.

You mean Heavy Bullets? It's nice funky looking but not totally vaporwave. @miimii1205 and I discussed a lot about procedural generations and I think he'll be able to pull out some awesome innovative and fun levels.

P.S. : Sorry to plug myself in, I'm still following the development of his game with interest and friendship :)  We didn't dissolve the team on bad terms.

Thanks, it's great to have support...

We were only two and we were a rev share based team.

As for the idea, it's hard to tell... Let's say 25% his and 75% mine.

Bah, it evolved over time because I liked a lot your creativity and your ideas. By the way, I'm still expecting at least one duck in the game ;)

Thanks for answering about the ideas. :) I've followed the blog posts and everything was extremely interesting so it was a bit of a shock to the "end" of the project.

I hope to see new progress on the re-birth!

Today I was thinking about 3D vapourwave and came up with an idea for implementation.  The idea I came up with, though abstract, is tangible and I think would deliver successfully; however, I know this is your creation.  I know what it's like to have an idea tainted by influence when it hasn't matured enough to stand on it's own two feet.  So no hard feelings, but... It's a cool idea!?!?

There is no reason why you cannot make your own implementation of the idea. :)

Indeed...

Each and every one of us holds different luggage/experiences that influence how we think and create.

@Awoken Maybe your interpretation is not the same as mine: it's in itself a good reason to try to see what could happen.

lol! I just noticed I spelt implantation instead of implementation.

Anyhow.... who knows maybe you both can collaborate together? :)

I would love to make a FPS one day and have always fantasied about ideas for one.  I was intrigued by one of your first blogs regarding vapourwave.  I didn't even know it was its own thing, makes sense though.

You know it'd be an honour for me.  I'm quite backwards in the world of programming.  Maybe a mod at some point down the road :)

100%, Now I'm even more curious to see what you're cooking up.  Looking forward to it!  Love your music by the way.

It is a pity that your project was cancelled, but when one door is closed, the other one opens. That was the first thought when I was dropped out the college, and decided to enter the Economics faculty. Thus, my teacher recommended checking this site https://writingbros.com/essay-examples/economics/ which gave a lot of examples of papers about economics. I think that change of projects is not that bad as it could seam.
